You can get a spreadsheet of every email address in your Gmail, with a count of how often each one wrote to you and how often you wrote back. Export your mail with Google Takeout, open it in readmbox.com, and export the address list as a CSV. It takes a few minutes of clicking.

Step 1: Back up your Gmail with Google Takeout
Google Takeout exports all your email as a single .mbox file.
- Go to takeout.google.com.
- Click Deselect all so you only back up your email.
- Scroll down to Mail, check it, and click Next step at the bottom.
- Set the file size to 50 GB to get one large file instead of many.
- Click Create export.
The export takes anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. Google emails you when it's ready.
Step 2: Download and unzip
In Google's email, click Manage Takeout request. Click the download button at the bottom to save the file to your computer.
Double-click the ZIP to unzip it. Your .mbox file is inside.
Step 3: Open the MBOX file in readmbox.com
Go to readmbox.com. It runs privately in your browser: your MBOX file stays on your computer and is never sent to any server.
Scroll down, click Choose an .mbox file, find the file you unzipped, and double-click it. All your emails open, ready to filter, export, or convert to CSV, PDF, or EML.
Step 4: Export the email address list
Click Export and choose the email address list. You get a CSV that opens in Google Sheets or Excel.
The CSV lists every email address in your mailbox, with two counts for each:
- From count: how many emails you received from that address
- To count: how many emails you sent to that address
Sort by either column to see who emails you most, or who you email most.
That's it
Takeout gets your mail out of Gmail. readmbox.com turns it into a list of every address, with nothing to install and nothing uploaded.
