What You'll Discover

See your top artists and tracks, total listening time, play counts, and detailed breakdowns of your music consumption over any time period. Export everything to a spreadsheet for deeper analysis.

Getting Started

Step 1: Request Your Data from Spotify

Log into your Spotify account through a web browser and navigate to your account privacy page. Scroll down to request download your data.

Important: Select "Extended Streaming History" not basic account data. This contains the detailed listening information you need.

Click to request your data. Spotify will email you a download link in about 24 hours.

Step 2: Download and Extract

When you receive the email from Spotify, click the download link. You'll get a ZIP file containing multiple JSON files (typically labeled "endsong_0.json", "endsong_1.json", etc.). Extract these files to an accessible location on your computer.

Step 3: Upload to the Analyzer

Go to: https://apify.com/onescales/spotify-history?fpr=s9de8

Click "Try for Free" to access the tool. It's completely free with no limitations.

Click "Upload New File" and select all your JSON files (up to 5 files). Choose "New Temporary Storage" and upload them all.

Step 4: Configure Your Analysis

Choose your preferences:

  • View all data or filter by specific date ranges
  • Set maximum number of artists or tracks to display
  • Leave defaults to see your complete history

Click "Save and Start" when ready.

Step 5: Review Your Results

Your analysis completes in seconds. You'll see:

  • Summary statistics showing total plays, unique artists and tracks, and total listening time
  • Detailed artist breakdowns with play counts and percentages
  • Track-by-track information with listening patterns
  • Date ranges and listening trends

Step 6: Export Your Data

Click "Export" and select CSV format to download. Open the file in Google Sheets or Excel to see sortable columns including:

  • Artist and track names
  • Play counts
  • Total time spent (minutes, hours, days)
  • Percentage of listening time
  • Date information
