If you're trying to upgrade to the new shopify analytics experience from Sidekick or from your reports and have the error "New Shopify Analytics - This feature requires the new analytics experience. Ask your store owner to opt in from the Analytics page.", all you have to do is:
- Login as the owner of the store or ask the owner.
- Go to sidekick and create a new report - use " Show me sales report for last 6 months by product thats above $5" for example
- Click on "update now"

On next page, click on "Update analytics".
- Enjoy your new reports.
